Provenance Festval 2024: Highland Harvest Feast

As part of this year's Northeast of Scotland Provenance Festival, Glen Tanar Estate is delighted to collaborate with Kincardine Castle Kitchen and Lost Loch Distillery to offer an exclusive dining experience in the Coats Room at Glen Tanar.

The three-course menu, expertly crafted by Kincardine Castle Kitchen, showcases the finest seasonal produce from Glen Tanar Estate, including succulent rainbow trout from our loch, tender roe deer from our forests and moorlands, and rich heather honey from our apiary. Each course is thoughtfully paired with exquisite drinks from Lost Loch Spirits, enhancing the flavours with their exceptional spirits. This intimate event is limited to just 20 guests, seated at communal tables in the elegant Coats Room, ensuring a warm and engaging dining experience.

Cost: £90 per person

Fieldfare CSA is set in the Walled Garden of Balmakewan Farm. We grow organically produced vegetables, fruits and herbs which are available via a seasonal subscription.

This event is in the form of an open garden, you are welcome to walk around a working walled garden, see how we grow our produce, speak to the farmers growing the food and see a way of food production that is sustainable and regenerative for both the land and local community.

Earth Made: A geology inspired creative collective

A collaborative exhibition which celebrates the work of three geologically inspired creatives working within Scotland.

A free event and pop-up shop featuring work from textile designer April Hay @agateandayre, jeweller Stefanie Cheong @stefaniecheong and artist Vojta Hybl @rocksonpaper who all draw inspiration from geology around Scotland and are delighted to be exhibiting together for the first time. The opening times will be from 10am-5pm, for three days only, the 13th to the 15th of September.

What to expect:

Hatha Slow Flow Yoga

The perfect combination of a mind and body movement-based practice. This class will be a gentle, meditative pace, including traditional sun salutations and hatha yoga poses, which will be held longer, emphasising peace and calm as we enjoy practising in the beauty of the Haddo House terrace garden. You will be guided through this practice with breathwork, allowing you to connect with your breath with each intentional slow-flow movement.

A month of creative workshops to soothe the mind + nourish the soul.

This April we are collaborating with the @hiddenscotlandshop and a number of small businesses and artists to host 8 mindful workshops for you to enjoy.

Mindful activities + creativity are so important for your mental health as well as your overall well-being. At Slow Living Events, we always want you to feel your best so our workshops are designed to do just that.

We will be offering a range of different crafts and classes set in the beautiful Hidden Scotland Studio at the Milton of Crathes. The studio is set in the old mill and is situated right next to a little stream and the River Dee making it the perfect spot for a few hours away.

All our tickets include the materials you need for your class, home bakes, herbal teas and a Slow Living Events tote bag to take your creations home in.
